Joe Gorman

Joe Gorman

Chief Executive Officer

SageHome Chief Executive Officer Joe Gorman has held leadership positions in a variety of Home Service and Retail companies. Prior to joining SageHome, Joe was the Chief Operating Officer for Barnes & Noble while transitioning the company from Public to Private. Prior to that role, Joe served as the Chief Operating Officer for General Nutrition centers where he ran both the US and Canadian Divisions, Franchise Operations and Real Estate.

During his time at Home Depot, Joe held a variety of roles including the Operations of the Home Services group. Joe has also led a private national flooring and closet installation company for 4 years after leaving Home Depot. He has additionally held leadership roles at GameStop and founded his own apparel company. Joe has been with SageHome since the inception.

Brian McCown

Brian McCown

Chief Financial Officer

Brian McCown is Chief Financial Officer for SageHome. Brian has 25 years of financial leadership experience and brings significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions, having successfully acquired and integrated dozens of businesses throughout his career. Prior to joining SageHome, Brian helped to build a nationwide platform business as the CFO for Alloy Wheel Repair Specialists. As the CFO for Data911 he arranged its sale to strategic partner Broadcast Microwave Services. Brian has also held positions as the CFO for AllChem Industries and financial and operational management positions at Clariant and Fresenius Medical Care.

Brian holds a B.S. in Finance, a B.S. in Marketing, and an MBA from the University of Florida.

Aaron Carmack

Chief Operations Officer

Aaron Carmack is the Chief Operating Officer at SageHome, bringing with him 30 years of retail home improvement experience. Most recently at Rogers Electric, he served as the Chief Operating Officer, overseeing sales and operations for 5 operating units and 13 branches. During his time at Home Depot, Aaron’s field leadership roles included regional vice president for the Midwest and Pacific North regions. He also managed 3 wholly owned subsidiaries offering installed services for interior and exterior projects nationwide. He successfully led his team through the implementation of an electronic guided selling system, centralized install operations, and launched a lead management/CRM system.

Aaron holds an MBA from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School.

Jason Bisch

Senior Vice President, Administration

Jason is the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff for SageHome. Jason comes to SageHome from New Bath Today, its first acquisition, where he spent the last six years as its general manager and that of its sister company, Home Value Renovation. Jason brings over 11 years of construction and home improvement experience to SageHome.

Jason’s M&A experience includes serving as a Senior IT Manager at Earthlink leading the development and implementation of a consolidated data warehouse and reporting engine in support of its merger with MindSpring. Prior to joining Earthlink, Jason spent several years at Nestlé USA as a project manager focused on finance and ERP implementations.

Jason earned a business degree with a concentration in Finance from California State University – Long Beach.

Martin Aubuchon

Vice President, Human Resources

Martin Aubuchon is the Vice President of Human Resources for SageHome. Martin brings over 25 years of experience in the Human Resource field to Sage Home. He has extensive experience in leading initiatives centered around Talent Acquisition, Training and Development, Performance Management, Employee Relations, Employee Engagement, and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Most recently, Martin was a Director of Field Human Resources for GameStop, Inc., leading a Human Resources team in support of a market with over $1 Billion in annual sales, 8,000+ employees, and over 1000 retail locations.

Prior to his time with SageHome and GameStop, Martin held various positions in Human Resources and Store Operations with Party City and Staples, the Office Superstore. Martin has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from the College of Business and Economics, California State University, Fullerton.

Mike Cleary

General Manager, CareFree Home Pros

Mike Cleary is the General Manager for CareFree Home Pros. Mike began working for CareFree in 2016 and quickly moved up within the organization from Sales Representative to Sales Manager, to his current position as GM. Mike brings a combination of sales and operational methodology experience paired with a passion for training and development with a focus on employee engagement. He has over two decades of management experience in both retail and production environments. Mike has a BA in Political Science and an MBA from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

 

Bernard Peluso

General Manager, Colorado Living and One Day Bath

Bernard Peluso serves as the General Manager for Colorado Living and One Day Bath. Raised in New England, Bernard developed a lifelong passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing, from a young age. His career path has been rich and varied, starting in sales, marketing, project management, retail management and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). Since joining Colorado Living and One Day Bath in 2015, Bernard has excelled, known for his business development skillset and proven leadership in the industry.

General Manager, New Bath Today

Chris leads New Bath Today as its General Manager. He has over 20+ years of invaluable experience leading various operational functions in large, field-based companies. He graduated from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business with a degree in Business Management. Chris knows that people with a purpose are the secret sauce behind any good organization. He believes that New Bath Today’s strong team of field and office staff work together to ensure every customer receives world-class service, culminating with the installation of a beautiful, safe, and functional bath space. He’s married to his beautiful wife Whitney and has two children, Aubrey and Mason.

Aaron Smith is the General manager for Safe Showers. He has over 25 years of construction experience paired with a combination of Sales, Leadership, and Operational experience. Aaron has over 15 years of management experience paired with a drive to provide the highest standards, culture, and customer satisfaction for our industry.

Darron Steagall

General Manager, Midwest Bath Company

Darron is the General Manager of Midwest Bath Company, bringing over 25 years of experience in the home improvement industry. Beginning in the call center, Darron worked his way up into various management positions before taking a brief hiatus to work in the other fields such as welding and cellular sales. Returning in 2015, Darron was named rookie salesman of the year and earned the salesman of the year title in 2016. Following his return to the home improvement world, Darron developed the bath division of a company, which later turned into Midwest Bath.

Lee Hess

Board Chair

Lee is Board Chair of portfolio company, SageHome. He has also been Chairman of Cairngorm Capital since 2014. He, also, chairs the Investment Committee. Lee was the co-founder and Chairman (1993-2016) of INSTALLS Inc, the preeminent North American provider of installed home services, serving some of the largest retailers in the USA. INSTALLS’ clients included Costco, Best Buy, Walmart and Dell. Previously, Lee was Senior Vice President of Wendy’s International directing the growth of their North American stores and responsible for real estate, franchising, corporate finance and the operation of 800 restaurants. Earlier he was a partner in one of the largest McDonald’s franchises in the United States. Lee is on the Executive Committee of the Ohio Tech Angel Funds.

Amit Thaper

Managing Director

Amit serves on the Investment Committee and the Board of E-zec Medical and leads our investment in Millbrook Healthcare. Previously, Amit was an investment executive at H.I.G. Capital in Boston where he focused on investing in North American middle-market companies. Prior to H.I.G. Capital, Amit spent 5 years with Bain & Company in the UK and the USA advising clients across a range of industries including manufacturing and distribution, as well as conducting due diligence studies for leading private equity firms. Before moving into business, Amit was a medical doctor and worked in the National Health Service for 3 years.

Stuart Whiteford

Investment Director

Stuart is a Board member of SageHome and Sentry Doors and previously served on the Boards of National Timber Group and Grant and Stone. Prior to Cairngorm Capital, Stuart spent three years in Goldman Sachs’ Special Assets and Private Distressed Investments Group where he made private investments across Europe, Asia, and Africa. Stuart started his career at Citigroup in the UK Investment Banking team, advising corporates and private equity investors on mergers and acquisitions.

John Declerck

John Declerck

Operating Partner

John is an Operating Partner expert in merchandising and in evolving e-commerce building materials distribution models. John served until 2014 as Group Strategy Director at Kingfisher in London. Other roles during his career at Kingfisher included CEO of Castorama in Russia and Commercial Director of Brico Depot in France. Previously, John held senior positions in merchandising and strategy at Home Depot in both the USA and Canada.
